Tom Vesch annual Bucco tailgater feat. Guitar Zack Wiesinger

 Tom Vesch’s Bucco game and tailgater had been absent for a number of years and he decided to bring it back in style. This was the first year I attended and he pulled out all the stops by bringing in Guitar Zack and his band, a huge grill with burgers and dogs, a Penn Brewery draft truck and prizes, baby, prizes! All of the usual suspects attached with this crew were there and I was surprised to find Bob Smith behind a brand new camcorder catching Guitar Zack’s every note.
The fun really started as Tom joined the band for a rendition of Mustang Sally and stayed on for a number of songs. Donning a blues man’s cap to complete the transformation, Vesch was a man possessed and delighted the crowd as well as Guitar Zack himself. Zack and his band seemed to be enjoying their selves as the crowd slowly got drunker and began grooving on the loose gravel dance floor.
Having seen Zack a couple of times before, I already know of his penchant for getting mobile while playing a solo or two. This evening he was able to reach his cords up the steps of a PAT bus as it sat at the red light. The drive seemed cool with it and I got myself a decent picture.
The party was brought to a close just after 8 and everyone filed into the game. Unfortunately the Bucs handed us yet another loss but it was well worth it. The $25 cost per person barely covered my beer drinking and I got a nice hat giveaway so what the hell.
