Astronautalis
05.25.2006 / Garfield Artworks / Pittsburgh, PA
I got to Garfield Artworks, dropped $6 on Manny, and saw about 15 minutes before this thing was over. Not that I have a problem with that. This guy has been talked up somewhat and I picked up a CD that I really like but I guess it was my fault for getting there late. And for some reason, all the sudden I’m finding myself at rap shows. Of the couple of songs I caught I think only one was from the album and the rest was freeform stuff. The Pittsburghese one seem to go over well with the tiny crowd of about 15 people. Anyways, this guy, Astronautalis, was very nice and talented and I sure he’s going places. And he was smart enough to win over the local crowd by throwing some props to Andy Van Slyke.
